I’m Callan, but please call me Cal.
Many years ago I picked up a camera, and I never really put it back down again. After over four hundred weddings, I’m still passionate about creating beautiful images that last a lifetime.
I’m a mountain biker, road cyclist, car enthusiast, cat enthusiast, dog patter, coffee drinker, bedroom guitarist and explorer. I’m an introvert, extrovert, listener, dreamer and photographer. I love sunrises, sunsets, candid moments, long walks on the beach, cliches, puns, beautiful light and black & white photos.
Over the past thirteen years, I have developed a style that is authentic and elegant, with minimal posing. I strive to create a comfortable, relaxed and fun atmosphere that lets natural moments unfold throughout the day, allowing your genuine emotions to be photographed.
With my consistent, candid, unobtrusive style you can be yourselves, relax and enjoy your wedding day the way you want to.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that every couple gets the love, attention and care that they deserve.

Approach
Every photographer I see online describes their approach in the same way, so instead of doing that, I asked my good friend, Elliott, to describe my style and approach to wedding photography.
Elliott has been one of my regular associate photographers for years, as well as a close friend. In 2022 he married his partner of 10 years, Elyse, and asked me to capture his intimate wedding celebration. I was honoured. This is what he said:
